A POPULAR cafe is set to close after nine years in business.
Berry's, on Brampton's High Cross Street, is due to close almost a decade after it opened in 2015.
The popular spot which has been known for its coffee, homemade cakes, and 'freak' milkshakes is owned by Lesley Berry who put the closure down to a need to safeguard her 'health and well-being'.
She said: "It’s been an amazing nine years, can you believe it? But for my health and well-being, it’s time to say goodbye.
"I have met some amazing people and made some lifelong friends because of it, and I will be forever grateful."
After the announcement of Berry's closure, Lesley did confirm that she is in talks with potential buyers.
However, she also reflected on the cafe's legacy which is not just limited to coffee and cakes.
She said: "With the help of our customers, we have managed to supply coats for the homeless, a hygiene campaign, the free packed lunch scheme that ran for a full half term. And be a collection point for the food hub."
